Palangkaraya - A lecturer at the Faculty of Recording Media Arts (FSMR), Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta, Yusup Davit Palma Putra, S.S.T., M.T., contributed as a facilitator in the activity of "Social Media Training for Campaigns" which took place on July 16-18, 2025 at the Alltrue Hotel, Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan.
This activity was organized by the Teropong Association with the support of WWF Indonesia Foundation and Auriga Foundation, as well as the European Union. The training aims to increase the capacity, skills and understanding of the participants - consisting of civil society organizations (CSOs) and the young generation of Central Kalimantan - in managing social media for campaigns, especially in the strategic issue of Energy Transition.
"The presence of academics in this kind of forum is important to bridge between theory, creative practice, and advocacy of public issues. We at FSMR ISI Yogyakarta are always open to contributing to social transformation spaces through art and media approaches," he said.
Besides Yusup, the training also featured Brand Designer and Adobe Certified Design Specialist, M. Malik Al Husein, who guided participants in the technical aspects of campaign design.
As an output, the participants successfully produced an energy transition-themed campaign narrative that will be used to voice environmental issues more broadly through social media.
The involvement of FSMR ISI Yogyakarta lecturers in this activity reflects the faculty's commitment to community service as well as a real contribution in shaping dialog spaces and effective digital campaigns.
