The Faculty of Recording Media Arts (FSMR) ISI Yogyakarta held a Film Acting Workshop for role players from Tepus Village, Gunungkidul Regency on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the Tepus Village Library Room. The workshop was attended by 20 traditional artists, especially kethoprak and ogleng players, as the main participants.
The workshop aims to equip local artists with the basics of film acting in order to adapt to the development of modern visual media so that they can adapt to the technological developments that occur.
Lecturers and students of ISI Yogyakarta as resource persons, as well as representatives of the Tepus Village Government, namely Ulu-ulu and the Head of Tepus Tourism Village and traditional artists as workshop participants.
This workshop is proof that FSMR ISI Yogyakarta continues to strive to have a meaningful impact on society, especially role-players from Tepus Village.
This activity is expected to be a bridge for regeneration as well as cultural preservation through the medium of film, so that traditional arts can continue to live and be more widely known.
